Enable the auto-renew process

To enable automatic renewal of items:

1. In Polaris Administration, select the library organization (system, library, or branch), Parameters, Patron Services.
2. Select Renewal: Auto-renew, and select Yes.

Automatic renewals are completed as part of the Notices Processing SQL job. When the job runs, it automatically renews eligible items for which the item's assigned branch has the Renewal: Auto-renew parameter set to Yes. A patron's items will be auto-renewed based on the number of days specified in the Notice options, Reminders setting for the patron's registered branch.
